Samphire Hoe, between Dover and Folkestone on the Kent coast, is a nature reserve of 30 hectares at the foot of the cliffs of Dover, which was created by Eurotunnel through the use of 5 million m3 extracted chalk subsoil during the building of the Channel Tunnel.
